Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) has set up 81 teams to tackle rain related problems during the rainy season.
The action plan, including removal of silt from nalas and drains to prevent stagnation of rain water in localities, is being implemented on a war-footing, GHMC special commissioner Somesh Kumar has said. He directed the officials to keep him informed about day-to-day works of the action plan.
The commissioner asked the officials to display sign boards showing phone numbers of officers concerned to help the people to contact them in case of rain water stagnation in low-lying areas. (NSS)
