The GHMC overnight laid a long road on the Waqf land of Toli Masjid Karwan. It was planned to invite chief minister for inaugural ceremony of the road. However on the representation of Deccan Waqf Properties Protection Society the Waqf Board came into action and succeeded in stalling the construction works.
President Deccan Waqf Properties Protection Society Osman bin Mohammed Alhajari told that road laying work began yesterday night at the west of the masjid. As soon as he learnt about this he inspected the spot and informed Waqf Board Chairman Mr. Ghulam Afzal Biabani Khusro Pasha regarding this. He also made written complaint with chief executive officer Waqf Board Mr. Abdul Hameed and Waqf board officials immediately sprung into action and stalled the work.
Mr. Alhajari informed that recently joint survey of the land has also been done. If chief minister comes to inaugurate the road we will gherao him and will also demonstrate against Waqf Board if it shows carelessness regarding this.
