The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) on Thursday informed that it has rejected the building permission of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu.
Naidu and his son Nara Lokesh have submitted building plans seeking permission for construction of Residential Building in Pr.No.8-2-293/82/A/1310, 8-2-293/82/A/1309,1309/1 in Sy.No.120 (New) of Shaikpet (V), situated at road No.65, Jubilee Hills Cooperative Housing Society, Hyderabad on May 18. “After examining it is observed that the plans are in violation of rules in respect of height of the building, construction in setbacks and approved layout dimensions. Further the applicant has also commenced the construction work and erected footings for pillars/columns without prior permission. Therefore, the proposals were returned unapproved on June 16,” the GHMC said in a press release.
“It is not correct that the application was submitted 45 days before. The application was submitted on 18.05.2015 and the same was returned unapproved on 16.06.2015 within the stipulated period of 30 days. The application of Chandrababu Naidu and Nara Lokesh is not pending with GHMC,” the press release added.
Further, the GHMC said there was no relation between the rejection of the present application and payment of property tax for AP Secretariat building, as alleged. However, AP Government is due a sum of Rs.20 Crores towards Property Tax for the year 2014-15. GHMC has been pursuing with the AP Government to pay the said amount, the GHMC said. (INN)
