As part of clean and green and making Hyderabad city garbage-free city, GHMC has taken measures to introduce eToilets in the city.
GHMC commissioner B Janardhan Reddy said 15 eToilets would be installed in the city at different places by January 26 next year. This project is being sponsored by State Bank of India and Indian Oil Corporation.
An e Toilet for women costs Rs 7.30 lakh each, while it is Rs 6.35 lakh for men.
The using method of eToilets is easy to handle. There will be display light outside the etoilet unit which shows whether the unit is occupied indicating Red light or un-occupied indicating with green light.
The user can enter by inserting coin in case of pay per use eToilet. Upon entering the toilet, indoor lights will be switched on automatically, pre-flush system will wet the closet initially, Toilet flush can be activated using a manual flush cock provided inside the toilet, Even if the user forgets the flush after usage, the system will automatically flush after the exit.
Though the eToilet has integrated several electronic technologies from its smooth operations, does not provide any complex electronic interface for the common man. It was an unmanned and automated.
Meanwhile, deputy mayor Baba Fasiuddin today inaugurated five rupees meal centre at Bag Amberpet, a constituency of BJP leader G Kishan Reddy, who also attended the programme. Later G Kishan reddy inaugurated a modern Zym centre at Pochamma basti in Bag Amberpet accompanied by deputy mayor.(NSS)
