GHMC Commissioner & Special Officer Somesh Kumar said that the corporation was coming up with a budget of Rs 20,000 crore to take up beautiful roads, flyovers like PVNR Express and other projects.
The Special Officer made this announcement while addressing a get together meeting attended by GHMC Special Commissioners Ahmed Babu and Pradyumna, Additional Commissioners and other senior officials and staff at the GHMC headquarters here on Saturday. Speaking on the occasion, Somesh Kumar said that with the help of all the officers and staff, the GHMC could take up lot of innovative schemes.
Somesh Kumar said that it was due to the efforts of GHMC officials and staff that the corporation was able to increase it tax collection from Rs 740 crore in 2013 to Rs 1,024 crore in 2014. He hoped that the collections would break the previous records this year. He also explained about the various initiatives launched by the GHMC and sought their cooperation in their proper implementation.
All the senior officials from the Town Planning, Engineering, Health, Accounts section and employees of various wings of the GHMC have participated in the get together. (INN)
