GHMC elections – Joint meeting of Leftist parties

Hyderabad: Leftist parties have formed a coalition for GHMC elections 2016 with a slogan “One Hyderabad”. They have decided to contest all the 150 seats.

A Press Conference was held at CPI (M) Party Headquarters at MB Bhavan yesterday. Addressing the joint press conference, former CPI MP of Rajya Sabha, Mr. Syed Aziz Pasha told that Lok Satta Party would contest 35 seats, CPI (M) on 32 seats and CPI on 22 seats. On two seats candidates belonging to MCPI would be contesting. He alleged that former Congress Govt. of A.P. and TDP did not take any interest in the development of Hyderabad City. Mr. KCR is making an appeal to the voters in favour of TRS but during the past 18 months, he did not do any work except disappointing people. He mentioned that Hyderabad did not get even the 50th place in Swach Bharat Abhiyan. The claims of TRS for making Hyderabad an international city are ridiculous.

Mr. Aziz Pasha further told that a joint campaign would be launched for seeking the support of the voters in favour of leftist parties. The coalition would also support the candidates of Welfare Party of India and other secular parties.
