GHMC elections – Congress will lose deposits: Harish Rao

Hyderabad: Strongly criticizing the Congress, Mr. T. Harish Rao, Minister of Irrigation, Govt. of Telangana told that in the GHMC elections to be held next month, Congress candidates will lose their deposits. This party will not get candidates to contest elections since there is no stalwart in the Congress Party. TDP has been wiped out from Hyderabad City and people are not with BJP.

 

Talking to newsmen yesterday, Mr. Harish Rao told that TDP has completely been shifted to Andhra Pradesh. In such a condition, the people of this city are gearing up to hoist the pink flag on GHMC office. He also slammed City Congress President, Mr. D. Nagender that he has no right to criticize Home Minister, Mr. N. Narasimha Reddy. He told that when Congress was in power in the State, its leaders were engaged in settlements and receiving commissions.  Criticizing Mr. Nagender, he said that people are cleaver than him. They know that Nagender had negotiated with TRS to join the party after resigning from Congress.

 

Mr. Harish Rao further told that when his party was in a position, steps were taken to seek the cooperation of other parties. Today, when TRS is in power, it is making an attempt to get the cooperation of other parties to transform the state into Golden Telangana. He also said that TRS leaders have no pride. Their main objective is to serve people. He categorically said that his party will take the cooperation of anyone who comes forward to change the State into Golden Telangana.

 

Mr. Harish Rao also told that effective steps would be taken in the future to meet the challenge of shortage of water in Hyderabad city. Mr. KCR, due to his farsightedness took steps to get Godavari water into Hyderabad City. He recalled that in the past such a shortage of drinking water was not felt due to drying up of the water reservoirs, Singur, Osman Sagar and Himayath Sagar. He said that under Mission Bhagheeradha, water will be supplied to every house.
