Hyderabad: District Election Officer and GHMC Commissioner Lokesh Kumar announced the date of GHMC elections 2020 that the Dabeerpura ward will go to the polls on 22 January 2020 and the educational institutions including private and Government under Dabeerpura ward jurisdiction shall remain closed on the poll day on 22 January 2020 in view with GHMC elections.
In connection with the conduct of GHMC elections at Dabeerpura ward, District Election Officer and GHMC Commissioner Lokesh Kumar conducted a meeting with the officials at Indoor stadium in Amberpet on Friday.
Later the Commissioner inspected the polling material and instructed the officials to ensure that all the material should be dispatched to all polling booths as per the checklist.
There will be webcasting in all 66 polling booths and asked the police officials to ensure all polling personnel should reach the polling booths safely by providing police picket points.
Further, the DEO asked to take adequate precautions at vulnerable points. Based on previous experience. The DEO asked the Transport officials to provide minibusses to the polling staff. Later the DEO inspected the strong room.
Addl.Commissioner Jayaraj Kennedy, Joint Commissioner Pankaja, R.O. Dabeerpura Anil Kumar and other senior officials attended the meeting.
