Following directions of State Election Commission, the GHMC authorities on Friday conducted first randomization of nearly 12,000 Electronic Voting Machines in the presence of representatives of various political parties and Observer Vikas Raj, informed GHMC Commissioner and Election Authority Dr. B. Janardhan Reddy.
While interacting with the representatives of political parties, Dr. Janardhan Reddy said that the GHMC was using two types of EVM ballot units i.e. N-series and P- series in which N- series is for 15 candidates and P-series for 16 candidates. The P-series ballot units will be used in five wards as there are more than 16 candidates with two ballot units. Apart from this 20% of EVMs are being kept in reserve.
The second randomizations will be held on 27th January at the concerned wards in the presence of the contesting candidates. (INN)
