GHMC Commissioner Somesh Kumar on Saturday dismissed the reports of him having a cold war with Mayor Mohammed Majid Hussain.
Speaking to media persons here, the Commissioner claimed that he could not meet the Mayor due to Ramzan festival and other holidays. However, he was in touch with the Mayor over telephone. He said he never had any differences with the Mayor on any issue. He informed that he met the Mayor on Saturday and discussed various issues.
The Commissioner also informed that elaborate arrangements were being made for the Metropolis Conference to be hosted by the GHMC. He briefed the media about the steps being taken to eradicate beggars’ menace from the city and also the drive to plant 16 lakh trees in the GHMC limits. (INN)
