GHMC Commissioner and Special Officer Somesh Kumar informed that during the month of April, the Citizen Service Centres in all circle offices of GHMC will remain open from 8 AM to 8 PM on 11 and 12th April, on public holidays for the benefit of tax payers for making payment of Property Tax. The Mee Seva Centres will also be opened from 8 AM to 8PM on both the days.
The State Government has issued orders stating that a rebate of 5% of Property Tax would be given in respect of assessments where property tax for the entire current financial year is paid before 30th April of the year notwithstanding the service of bill or demand notice. Accordingly, the GHMC has introduced the property tax early bird scheme for benefit of tax payers to make payment of property tax during April month and avail the 5% rebate opportunity given by the Government.
In this connection the GHMC has appealed all the tax payers to avail a rebate of 5% opportunity to pay their property tax before April 30. (INN)
