Hyderabad: M. Dana Kishore, Commissioner, GHMC said that it has been observed that lot of complaints are being coming from the citizens out of which 80% of the cases are pertaining to the Town Planning issues, it has been noticed that several unauthorized constructions are being taking place in the city and every need is there to check this unauthorized constructions failing which stern action will be taken against the officials for their irregularities.
The Commissioner, GHMC, Chief City Planners Devender Reddy, Srinivas Rao, Vishwajeet Kampati, Director, Vigilance along with senior officials of the Town Planning wing held a review meeting with regard to various Town Planning issues today at Head Office, GHMC.
While interacting with the officials the Commissioner said that the permissions which have been sanctioned from the day the concerned official must visit and see whether the constructions is being taken place as per the norms whether proper deviations have been made so that immediate necessary action has to be taken by the concerned official to curb such type of unauthorized constructions.
The identified unauthorized buildings list may be furnish to the Enforcement & Vigilance Cell in coordination with the Town Planning wing the identified U/C buildings will be removed as per the provisions of the act. It has also been informed to the officials not to harass poor and small vendors.
Even most of the newspapers are also carrying the news about the unauthorized constructions for which the Commissioner directed the officials to submit a detailed report about, how many notices have been issued circle wise, how many unauthorized constructions, deviations, court cases and other important information to be given with separate software to the Commissioner on priority. Though the officials are busy in the election duties in spite of that certain officers or the connected staff must take moral responsibility to inspect their jurisdictions to control the menace, he added.
