GHMC Chief holds convergence meeting with HoDs

Hyderabad: GHMC Commissioner Dr. B. Janardhan Reddy said that the heads of all government departments have been trying hard to provide basic amenities to the citizens in Greater Hyderabad.

Addressing a convergence meeting with Heads of various government departments at RM Auditorium of Mahatma Gandhi Bus Stand here on Saturday, Janardhan Reddy said that the decisions taken in the meeting has to be implemented on immediate basis for the overall development of the twin cities of Hyderabad and Secunerabad. Nearly 40 various issues were discussed during the meeting.

Hyderabad Metro Rail (HMR) Managing Director Dr. N.V.S Reddy has requested the authorities to handover the land to take up Metro Rail Works on priority. He also assured to provide compensate to the HMWS&SB for the pipelines which were affected while taking up HMR works.

The GHMC Commissioner has requested the Hyderabad Joint Collector to handover the vacant 30,000 houses, which were constructed under JNNURM scheme, to the beneficiaries by 30th August. He has also requested for allotment of land for fish market at Attapur under Rajendranagar Circle on priority.

Janardhan Reddy said that a meeting with the Secunderabad Cantonment Board would be conducted on 8th March with regard to usage of roads to have a better clarity. He requested all the concerned departments to attend the said meeting without fail.

Senior officials from GHMC, HMWS&SB, Electricity and other departments have participated in the convergence meeting. (INN)
