GHMC Bags PM’s Award for Progress in Housing Scheme

The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) has bagged the Prime Minister’s Award for Excellence in Public Administration for the progress it has made in the implementation of Telangana Governments 2-BHK Housing Scheme with Pradhana Manthri Awas Yojana.

Dr. B. Janardhan Reddy, Commissioner, GHMC will be receiving the Award on April 21 at Vignan Bhavan, New Delhi, on the occasion of National Civil Services Day, from Narendra Modi, Prime Minister of India.

The GHMC has also bagged one of the prestigious award from HUDCO with regard to Housing Scheme in the Telangana State and the Award is also going to be received by the Commissioner, GHMC.

The GHMC has received a number of prestigious awards in the year 2017-18.

“Telangana also bagged first place in the Centre’s Ease of Doing Business (EODB) rankings and GHMC played a vital role in it,” said Hyderabad mayor, B. Rammohan. On the Strategic Road Development Plan (SRDP), the mayor said that as the project progresses, traffic congestion in many parts of the city will ease.(NSS)
