Hyderabad, March 10: The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) in association with residential welfare associations and neigbourhood committees in slums, under the Clean Hyderabad 2010-11 programme, will allot cleaning works in the respective localities on contract basis to various organisations.
The GHMC has invited applications for pre-qualification from Self-Help Groups, DWCUA Groups, individual contractors, firms, registered labour cooperative societies, registered societies and cooperative societies consisting of members of Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes, including the unemployed or retrenched staff from these communities.
About 558.5 seasonal package works in different localities of 18 Circles would be allotted to the SHGs and DWCUA and 269 units to contract societies.
Fifteen percent of the works are reserved for cooperative societies consisting of members from SCs and STs.
