Construction activities are in full swing in the twin cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad especially in old city of Hyderabad. It seems that the old city which has historical significance will soon transform into a forest of skyscrapers. Despite real estate market slowdown, construction of residential complexes continues in Ghansi Bazaar, Chandulal Baradari, Khilwat, Jahanuma, Nimra colony, Husain Alam etc. while similar trend is not witnessed in areas such as Moghalpura, Yakutpura, Dabeerpura, Santoshnagar, Rain Bazaar, and Madannapet etc.
As far as the Ghansi Bazaar, Charminar, Gulzar Houz and adjacent areas are concerned number of Marwadis who came from Rajasthan is on the rise here. The real inhabitants of the historical city don’t even know that Ghansibazar is gradually getting transformed into Marwadi Bazaar.
During the construction of towering buildings, heritage structures are being neglected.
