Six persons including a 17-month old infant were admitted with swine flu (H1N1) symptoms to various hospitals in the city and they are undergoing treatment for this disease, according to Gandhi hospital sources.
Gandhi hospital Internal medicine Prof Dr K Narasimhulu said there was no need to get panicky about this disease and age is no criteria for affecting swine flu.
Along with the infant, 26-year-old woman Shashikala was admitted to Gandhi hospital with severe fever who were found with H1N1 positive. Two others including Kashi (34) were already under treatment for the disease and there was no dearth of medicines, he said.
Another person hailing from Mahabubnagar district and a 63 year old woman from KPHB colony are undergoing treatment for swine flu at Gandhi hospital, a senior doctor of the hospital said attributing the reasons for spreading of swine flu symptoms to change of climate in the city.(NSS)
