Washington: Hollywood actress Megan Fox has revealed that being fired from the ‘Transformers’ franchise was the “low point” of her career.
While giving an interview to Cosmopolitan magazine, the 31-year-old actress noted that her diva-like behaviour had subsequently led to Megan being cut from the money-spinning franchise.
Talking about that moment, she said, “That was absolutely the low point of my career. But without – ‘that thing’ – I wouldn’t have learned as quickly as I did.”
The ‘Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles’ star was given the chance to resurrect her future with the franchise by offering an apology – but she refused.
“All I had to do was apologise – and I refused. I was so self-righteous at 23, I couldn’t see [that] it was for the greater good. I really thought I was Joan of Arc,” noted Megan.
She added that while the firing “hurt her and those around her” but it “caused brisk spiritual growth”.
The actress was dropped from the cast of the third movie ‘Dark of the Moon’ and was replaced with model Rosie Huntington-Whiteley.
Since then, Fox and Bay have managed to repair the rift between them and worked together on his reboot of ‘Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles’ (2014) and in 2016, the actress reprised her role as April O’Neil in ‘Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows’. (ANI)
