Getting creative, Diwali style

Hyderabad, November 02: Workshops are being conducted at many places in the city to teach people different ways to get crafty with Diwali décor.

These include a huge variety of things like lamp decoration, toran (garland) making, paper rangoli, crystal flowers and crystal baskets to name a few.

A few of these classes also teach you ways in which you could convert old and unused items in your house into something really attractive and beautiful.

Here are a few classes in the city that you could attend to make some really beautiful and personalised kinds of decoration.

GVK One

The festival of lights is a much loved and cherished occasion for both the young and old that is widely celebrated in Hyderabad along with the rest of the country.

Understanding that Diwali is a time when homes are decorated and individuals are groomed to the hilt , GVK One went a step further to ensure that its visitors are treated to a variety of workshops to make the occasion a little more personal.

Visitors of the mall were seen actively engaging and equipping themselves in understanding the basics of how to design bangles, learn origami, learn the technique of effective Mehendi application while another set of visitors were spotted discussing and sharing views with the craftsmen and thus hone their existing skills on the same.

Many visitors were also enthusiastically seen posing to get their caricature done.

Besides the complimentary workshops, GVK One has a treat for all its visitors with stunning decorations inside and outside the mall.

Beautiful, larger-than-life diyas on the building façade, stunning diyas made of LED lights in and out of the mall.

The atrium witnesses model of fire crackers and colorful lamps thus portraying a total festive look. Visitors can avail these sessions absolutely free of cost. These activities will be conducted till November 7, from 4pm to 8pm.

Inorbit

Reflecting the theme of Festival of Lights, Inorbit has set-up over 700 lanterns of various shapes, forms and colours from countries as diverse as China and Canada, grabbing eyeballs not only in the atrium but also across area of the mall as well as across each mall.

Unique workshops to teach traditional art forms and special performances everyday create an apt ambience to get into the Diwali spirit!

During the 14 days of Diwali celebrations at Inorbit, in addition to a variety of workshops, artists from popular shows like Big Bada Boom, Ishaan musical, Art attack with Gaurav and more on Disney will pay a visit to the mall for a special performance at the Central Atriums.

All those visiting Inorbit Malls will take back a unique experience with them to cherish for a long time to come. These activities will be conducted till November 14.
