Ahead of the interim budget session in the Parliament, Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav too on Twitter and wrote — “get ready for a bunch of lies”.
He tweeted in Hindi, which in English reads, “When in every sphere the country is on decline, how can the budget help. Get ready for a bunch of lies”.
The budget is being presented by the Union minister Piyush Goyal as people are hoping for tax relief for the middle classes.
The senior Congress leader Mallikarjun Kharge said: “They’ll try to introduce populist schemes in the Budget keeping an eye on Lok Sabha polls.”
“Budgets they’ve presented so far haven’t really benefitted the general public. Only ‘Jumlas’ will come out today. They have only 4 months (left), when will they implement the schemes?” he added.
The former Union Minister P Chidambaram mocked the government move, in a series of tweets,
