New Delhi [India]: Are you amongst those who have infatuation with Turkey and the Mediterranean region? Are you someone who is in awe of blue, white and yellow hues that give a glimpse of unique culture and goodness of Turkish architecture?
If yes, then get ready for a unique Mediterranean experience with ‘Baris’ that brings a religiously authentic Mediterranean, Turkish and Middle Eastern cuisine for a perfect and rejuvenating fine dining experience.
Standing true to its name, Baris offers a unique Mediterranean experience which caters to all the senses. Be it visually delighting ambience, memorable taste or voice of the middle-eastern heritage, the restaurant is a perfect example of the classical Turkish architecture, blended with contemporary techniques in search of new synthesis.
Built over two floors, the restaurant has an amazing outdoor seating space with private cabana’s that would be just lovely in the winters. Created with scrupulous attention, the dining area is well conceptualized as it showcases luminous candles, calmness of beige color and majestic chandelier that perfectly blends with the walls.
The menu is extensive and handpicked while keeping the significance of heterogeneity and perfection in mind. Turkish man Sahin Ibis, who is the executive chef, believes that nothing but excellence is the key to dynamic food at Baris.
Nothing less than a tongue twister, the dishes served in the menu lists some amazing dips such as Muammara, Hummus, Beetroot Labneh and Haydari, which are served with fresh Turkish breads. The place offers some amazing kebabs including Mantar Yahnisi, Cigar Borek and Adana Kebab, out of which Urfa Kebab in non vegetarian and Peynir Kebab in vegetarian are to die for.
With the lovely vibe of the place one can also indulge in wine, mocktails (which are inspired by the Mediterranean lagoons) and cocktails that can go well with Turkish Pide (Pizza) such as Lahmacun and Tavuklu Pide.
Coming to the desserts, Baris has fairly limited items. But it is a must to try the Pumpkin Catalana, Crema Di Chocolate and Baklava Duo that can be complimented with delightful Turkish coffee, ‘Turk Kahvesi’, which is brewed as per one’s sweet liking.
Overall the place is convincing as it scored high on our expectations, and the bar of value for money.
