General public must not be inconvenienced: Vijayvargiya on ‘Raees’ train publicity

New Delhi [India]: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Kailash Vijayvargiya, who came under sharp criticism for his jibe at Shah Rukh Khan-starrer ‘Raees’, today said that adequate measures must be taken to ensure that the general public does not face any inconvenience during film promotions.

“Adequate measures must be taken so that inconvenience is not caused to the people during any film promotions,” Vijayvargiya told ANI while reacting to the tragedy that took place at the Vadodara railway station during ‘Raees’ promotion.

Earlier on social media, Vijayvargiya took a jibe at ‘Raees’ and supported Hrithik Roshan’s ‘Kaabil’.

He tweeted, “The Raees that couldn’t be of its own country is of no good. On another side we should support Kaabil that is patriotic.”

Reacting to the controversy surrounding Vijayvargiya’s tweet, another BJP leader Shaina NC clarified that it did not mention Shah Rukh or Hrithik.

She tweeted, “No where is there a mention of @iam srk or @iHrithik the reference to context is clearly to #NoteBandi so let’s not create a controversy.”

Meanwhile, Union Railways Minister Suresh Prabhu ordered a probe after one person died as crowd went berserk after actor Shah Rukh Khan arrived at the Vadodara railway station last night.

Taking to the social media, Prabhu tweeted, “Directed DG RPF to investigate the matter and take stern action against any lapse.”

Shah Rukh’s ‘ Raees’ train journey turned a bitter when a man died in Gujarat’s Vadodara due to the chaos at the railway station, where fans gathered to get a glimpse of their favourite star.

Deeply saddened by the incident, the ‘Dilwale’ actor, while speaking to the media, said, “One of our colleagues was traveling with us. Her uncle came down to see her at Baroda. He suffered from a cardiac arrest. It was really unfortunate.”

“We started the journey thinking we all will travel, spend time with each other when one of your own loses someone one trip like this, it saddens us all. On behalf of everyone, our prayers and blessings with the whole family. She has reached there. I just spoke to her. I think the burial is in an hour or half hour,” continued SRK.

Adding, “We have some of our people with the family members there. Hopefully God will bless her soon.” (ANI)
