Gen Rawat reviews security situation in Eastern Command

New Delhi: Indian Army Chief General Bipin Rawat has reviewed the operational preparedness and the security situation at the headquarters of Eastern Command in Kolkata.

During the three-day visit, the Army Chief also reviewed the formation of headquarters and units in Nagaland, Manipur and upper Assam.

He also interacted with all ranks during his visit and exhorted them to maintain high standards of operational preparedness and morale.

General Rawat arrived in Kolkata on December 27 and left for Delhi today.

He was received at Fort William in Kolkata by lieutenant general Abhay Krishna, the Eastern Army commander. (ANI)
