Gehlot direct bureaucrats to simplify recruitment rules

Jaipur, June 14: Paving the way for a large number of recruitments in police, education and medical departments, Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot today directed top bureaucrats to simplify rules and procedures for appointments.

The vacant posts of 5,000 police constables, 6500 teachers and 3,000 doctors should be expedited within a time frame by rationalising rules and procedures, Gehlot told a high-level meeting of heads of all departments here.

He directed officials of Department of Personnel, Medical and Health, Education and Home to review the vacancies and and make the recruitment process simple.

Rajasthan Public Service Commission Chairman Mahendra Kumawat assured the chief minister that RPSC would soon finalise a calendar of job openings, according to an official spokesman.
