Geetha Reddy demands Special Status to Telangana State

Former Minister J Geetha Reddy today sought that Telangana state needs a special status and Telangana Development Bank for speedy development
. Dr Geetha Reddy was participated as the Chief Guest at a seminar on “Industrial Development in Telangana: Problems, Prospects with Focus on Special Category Status” jointly organized by Telangana Industrialists Development Federation and Telangana Development Forum at FAPCI here.
. Speaking at the seminar, Dr Geetha Reddy stated that the Telangana leaders and people have no objection, if special status and packages are given to residuary Andhra Pradesh but special status will be accorded to Telangana State and a Telangana Development Bank will be setup to boost the development activities in backward Telangana. The Article 356 of Constitution of India was empowering the Centre to impose President’s rule on any state.
Stating that it is the time for reconstruction of Telangana, the former Minister appealed that all stakeholders and people should to involve in the process.
The Lok Sabha member Vivek stated that there is a need for reconstruction of Telangana. The biggest task before us was to usher in a new era of welfare of people, empowerment of women and development of downtrodden.
