Major Industries Minister Dr J Geetha Reddy on Saturday called upon the unemployed youth to improve their skills to enhance employment opportunities.
Inaugurating the Job Fair-2012 organized under the aegis of Federation of Andhra Pradesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FAPCCI) in association with REEMAP from June 16 to August 7 at Federation House at Red Hills, Geetha Reddy said that there were tremendous employment opportunities for those having skills in their respective fields.
She said that the government has planned to provide 15 lakh jobs to unemployed trained youth in the next three years in the private sector under Rajiv Yuva Kiranalu programme. Stating that providing jobs in government sector alone was very difficult, she asked the youth to hone their skills to tap the large number of employment opportunities in the private sector.
Rajiv Yuva Kiranalu vice-president K C Reddy said that the government would be organizing job melas in nine districts to provide employment opportunities to the unemployed rural youth.
Prominent companies including Reliance, Apollo Hospitals, Godavari Polymers Limited, Shell Lubricants Limited, Shoppers Stop, Heritage Retail, Vishnu Chemicals Limited and Zetatek Industries Limited are taking part in the FAPCCI’s Job Fair. (INN)
