Hyderabad, December 08: Andhra Pradesh Information and Public Relations Minister J Geetha Reddy has been appointed the Floor Leader of the Congress in the state Assembly.
Andhra Pradesh Assembly Speaker N Kirankumar Reddy today announced during the ongoing winter session of the Assembly that Chief Minister K Rosaiah had appointed Dr Reddy as the Floor Leader of the party in the Assembly.
Earlier, Mr Rosaiah, who was elected the leader of the Congress Legislature Party (CLP) a few days back, had written a letter to the Speaker, intimating him about the appointment of Dr Reddy as the Congress Floor Leader in the Assembly.
The post of Congress Floor Leader of the Assembly got vacant after the death of former Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy in a helicopter crash on September 2.
