Geeta Reddy demands Rs 50 lakh to kin of each student

Hyderabad: Former minister Dr J. Geeta Reddy today said all-Opposition-Parties’ dharna was totally successful in the State. She said all the police stations across the State brimmed with the all-party leaders.

Addressing mediapersons here today, Geeta Reddy alleged that there was no democracy in the State and the police even assaulted women indiscriminately. She alleged that the botched up Intermediate results were the result of “callous” attitude of the State government. Questioning the State government about the fate of the Kadiam Srihari Committee report, Geeta Reddy said ignoring the committee report, the contract was given to controversial Globarena company.

Terming the marks scandal as the result of human error, she wondered whether there was Education Minister in the State or not. She also asked the State government as to why it was protecting the “big fish” while punishing the small fry. She also asked as to why the rulers failed to visit houses of the students who committed suicide. She also demanded Rs 50 lakh ex gratia to the family members of those who committed suicide and file a criminal case against Globarena company for playing with the lives of ten lakh students. She also demanded that the State government complete revaluation and re-verification process as soon as possible.
