Palestinians massively take to the streets of the Beit Hanoun town in the besieged Gaza Strip in funeral processions for three people, killed in Israeli shelling.
The trio was killed after an Israeli tank fired a Flechette shell at a group of Palestinians in the town on Thursday.
Several others were also injured in the attack, which was confirmed by the Tel Aviv regime.
Spokesperson for the Palestinian resistance movement of Hamas, Fawzi Barhoum condemned the deadly attack, urging Arab states to break their silence on Israeli aggressions.
“The Zionist occupation…is responsible for the escalation. There should be deterring actions against this Zionist occupation on all the levels. The confrontation should be through the resistance, political, and the interference of Egypt and the Arab world. There should be an action against this aggression to protect the Palestinian people…,” he said.
The latest incidence of violence came one day after three Palestinians were killed and one more wounded in an Israeli airstrike on Gaza.
The airstrike, which was confirmed by an Israeli military official, reportedly targeted the car, in which the Palestinians were travelling.
The Israeli military frequently attacks the Gaza Strip, saying the acts of aggression are being committed for defensive purposes. However, disproportionate force is always used in violation of international law, and civilians are often killed or injured.
Gaza has been blockaded by Tel Aviv since 2007, which is a situation that has caused a decline in the standard of living, unprecedented levels of unemployment, and unrelenting poverty.
