Gayle to file defamation case against Aussie newspaper

Johannesburg : West Indies swashbuckling batsman Chris Gayle will commence legal proceedings against an Australian media organisation after it published allegations of a dressing room incident involving a woman.

According to the reports in Fairfax Media newspaper, the former West Indies skipper had indecently exposed himself to a woman in a dressing room during last year’s World Cup in Sydney, Sport24 reported.

The 36-year-old, however, had denied all the allegation levied against him and said that he would file a defamation case against the organisation.

Earlier, Gayle was fined 7500 USD for making inappropriate comments to a female journalist during his side Melbourne Renegades’s victory over the Hobart Hurricanes in the Big Bash League (BBL). (ANI)
