If Gauri had not written against RSS, she would have been alive: BJP MLA

Bengaluru: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLA and former minister Jeevraj on Wednesday said that had Gauri Lankesh not written against the Sangh Parivar in her tabloid, she may have been survived today.

According to India Today, Jeevraj while addressing the party workers at a meeting in Koppa taluk of Chikkamagaluru said Lankesh’s vitriolic writing about celebration of the “death” of the RSS have cost journalist and activist Gauri Lankesh her life.

Lankesh had written a report in her paper, titled, “Chaddigala Marana Homa” or the slaughter of the RSS. “If only Gauri Lankesh had refrained from such writings, she would probably have survived. Gauri was like my sister and she might have written against us which is acceptable in a democracy,” Jeevraj said.

The audio clip of the Jeevraj’s speech in the meet has gone viral.
