Hazaribagh: Wasim, Aftab and Sahbaz Ali – suffered serious injuries after being severely attacked by “gau rakshaks” in Hazaribagh, Jharkhand on Saturday.
According to Times of India, the trio were carrying cattle from Dumraon village in Ichak police station to Pelawal in a Minitruck was chased by group of Gau Rakshak on two-wheelers and severely thrashed them. The injured were referred to RIMS for treatment. The victims claimed that they were attacked simply they were carrying cattle.
A case has been registered in Pelawal police station and no arrests have been made so far, the SP said police are investigating the reason behind the assault.
The situation is under control and security personnel were deployed at Pabra and Pelawal to maintain the law and situation, the SP added.
