The cheapest gas recorded is $1.11 a gallon at 7-Eleven in Oklahoma City. Extremely cheaper gas prices are found in Texas, Missouri, Ohio, Indiana, Illinois Michigan and Kansas.
About one station in four nationwide is at $1.50 a gallon or less, Kloza said while adding that gas probably won’t go below $1 a gallon but cheap gas has become fairly common.
Kloza still expects gas price to remain cheap with an average in between $2.25 to $2.50 a gallon in 2016.
