Gas connection with health benefits

Hyderabad, July 31: The Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) on Thursday initiated a consumer benefit plan, whereby domestic gas consumers of the corporation can avail a 50 percent discount on certain cardiac health checkup packages from Wockhardt Hospitals.

Announced at a memorandum signing event at the hospital premises, the scheme is expected to reach out to a city-wide consumer base of around 6 lakh consumers.

Officials at the hospital confirmed that the scheme would be made effective for consumers and their family members, through check-up coupons. The Head of Operations at the hospital, Sudhakar Jadhav noted that “regular check ups and a healthy diet, combined with brisk exercise can prevent heart disease considerably.

” The IOCL–AP Director, M V Ramana said that “along with the scheme, the corporation would also be conducting a health camp for our delivery boys, since they are the primary contact point with consumers. The initiative is slated to empower them as agents of change, through basic education plans.”
