Telangana Gangaputra Seva Sangham state president Pusa Balakishan Besta will go on 36-hour hunger strike for ‘Protection of Water Resources’ from 10 am on June 2 to 4 pm on June 3 at Indira Park Dharna Chowk here.
After releasing a poster relating to hunger strike here on Wednesday, Balakishan Besta said that the fast program was aimed at protecting ground water by repairing lakes, construction of new lakes and renovation of old lakes.
Balakrishna Besta said that senior TDP leader and Rajya Sabha member T. Devendar Goud, MLCs Chukka Ramaiah, Prof K. Nageshwar, cine actor Srihari, Prof. Murali Manohar would be present at the fast camp on June 2. Lok Satta Party president and Kukatpally MLA Dr Jayaprakash Narayan, Telangana Nagara president and MLA Dr Nagam Janardhana Reddy, Telangana Rashtra Samiti floor leader Etela Rajendar, BJP senior leader Deshineni Kishan Rao, MLC P. J. Chandrasekhara Rao, State BC welfare Association president R. Krishnaiah, Madiga Reservation Porata Samiti president Manda Krishna Madiga and Telangana Jagruti president K. Kavitha will be present at the valedictory program on June 3.
Sangham members Ramaraju, Somanath, Sailu and Venkanna were also present. (NSS)
