New Delhi, October 25: With the arrest of four alleged snatchers in the national capital, police today claimed that they have solved about a dozen criminal cases, including looting of identity cards and driving licences.
Gang leader Vikas alias Vicky (24), allegedly involved in many criminal cases and released from jail recently, Anand Singh, Satpal Singh and Zuber Ahmed (all 23-years-old) were arrested from Peeragarhi in west Delhi yesterday, police said.
The gang was operating in areas of West, Outer and North-West Delhi. One motorcycle, four stolen mobile phones, looted I-cards and driving licenses were allegedly recovered from them.
“Vicky was eager to live life king size and rejuvenate his childhood love. He gifted good clothes and jewellery to his girlfriend,” Deputy Commissioner of Police (West) Sharad Aggarwal said adding that he resorted to such crimes to fund such luxuries.
Vicky belongs to a weak economical back ground.
