Hyderabad: The advice given by Hyderabad High Court Chief Justice, Dilip Bhonsley and Justice Naveen Kumar to restrict the height of the Ganesh idol to 15-20 ft. was rejected by ‘Bhagyanagar Ganesh Utsav Samithi’.
It may be mentioned that in Khairtabad, the height of the Ganesh idol is kept at 60 ft. and in Balapur, 35 ft. the Samithi has warned the Govt. that the suggestion given by the High Court to reduce the height of Ganesh idol will not be tolerated, instead its height would be increased by 2 ft.
Dhoolpet is the center of the artists who produce Ganesh idols. Mr. Bhagvant Rao, General Secretary of the Samiti told that the matter would be represented in the High Court through a lawyer. He further told that High Court has not issued any orders but it has tendered its advice.
