Gandhi Hospital to conduct Coronavirus Tests from today

Hyderabad: With at least 7 cases of suspected coronavirus reported in Hyderabad, Gandhi hospital will conduct the confirmation of novel tests today.

The tests are conducted with the rapid diagnostic kits which were handed over by the team that came to Hyderabad to check the preparedness of the hospitals.

Microbiologists with these kits can conduct the test for 30 swab samples of the patients per day at the hospital.

Reports said each swab sample test will take around 10 hours to get the results.

Earlier on Sunday, Health Minister Eatala Rajendar had held a teleconference with the senior health officials to take stock of the alarming situation.

The minister directed all the pulmonologists to work to be available round the clock until the virus crises is contained.

Meanwhile, health officials have also promised to provide all the facilities to the patients who get admitted to Gandhi Hospital, Fever Hospital and Chest Hospital.

Adequate stock of masks, sanitizers and other facilities are available at the hospital.
