Two students from the Social Work Department of Maulana Azad National Urdu University Shaan-e-Alam and Mohammed Ikram have been selected for the prestigious Gandhi Fellowship. While Three other students–Haseebur Rahman, Safiur Rahman and Mohd Rehan have been waitlisted.
The selection process was conducted recently by Piramal Foundation. Gandhi Fellowship is a highly sought after internship-cum-job programme for young graduates who are given a good package of honorarium and other benefits. The graduates and post graduates from institutions such as IITs took part in this programme.
For the past few years, the students of Department of Social Work are also participating and qualifying for this fellowship programme.
