Hyderabad, December 01: Department of Sociology and Social Work, of Maulana Azad National Urdu University, invited Mr. Vivek Sharma Programme Director, Gandhi Fellowship Programme, Kaivalya Education Foundation to interact with the students to inform them about Gandhi Fellowship Programme in the auditorium of the DDE, on Tuesday.
More than 250 students of final year MA classes from MANUU and other universities participated in the programme. Mr. Vivek explained that the main aim of the fellowship was to motivate the students to work for nation building activities such as school education improvement programme particularly in the rural areas.
The fellowship will help them improve their skills of finding solutions to complex social problems by working directly in the field and interacting with experts as well. The selected students will receive Rs. 14000 plus accommodation and travel expenses for two years. The last date of form submission is December 8, 2010 at the department of Social and Social Work to Mr. Shahid Raza, coordinator MSW. The selection process will commence some time in January, 2011.
