Gandhi docs threaten to attend to emergency services

Gandhi Hospital doctors have warned the state government stating that they will stop emergency services from May 16 in case the government failed to solve their problems immediately.

The doctors have staged dharna in front of the hospital on Mondaydemanding the government to solve their problems. Speaking on the occasion, the doctors demanded the government to increase the salaries as per UGC scales and give promotions to the eligible doctors immediately. They said that they were lodging their protest an hour every day for the last one month. The Health Minister assured them that they have to wait for three months to solve their problems. There was no response from the Minister though the time limit was over, they bemoaned. The doctors expressed their protest carrying placards against the government.  (NSS)
