As per Salman’s family, a team led by ASI Prem Shankar came to their house at around 10 o’clock on Friday night and asked for Salman, suspected him of being involved in extortion of truck operators.
When they showed up Salman, the police dragged him out of the house.
The family members kept asking about Salman’s crime, but the police did not say anything and fired three rounds of bullets from the service INSAS rifle on Salman’s chest.
His father Abdul Jabbar said, “We heard the noise of bullets, all of us reached there and saw that my son Salman was lying in a pool of blood.”
Family members and residents took Salman’s body to the Bachra’s hospital where doctors declared him “brought dead.”
The police defended its action saying that said that they were chasing some coal thieves but trigger got pushed and it left Salman dead.
If it was a really a mistake, then why the police did not rushed him to the hospital. Why police was not present when villagers took Salman’s body to the hospital. Police could not answer these media questions.
The SP has suspended six policemen, including the SHO Piperwar Vinod Singh and the ASI.
His father told the media that Salman used to work in coal mine. He got his wages only on Friday. “During the night, he brought new clothes, belts, perfumes, shoes and sandals for Eid. He was very happy and was asking the family members about the clothes. ”
One villager told TwoCircles.net, “This was a cold-blooded killing. They ran after shooting him. When we questioned police about this incident, they tried to manipulate us.”
