Galla blames ministers, MPs for fund crunch

Guntur, April 26: The Roads and Buildings Minister Galla Arunakumari said Union Road Transport and Highways ministry was not responding to various proposals on several projects sent by the State Government.

Speaking to presspersons here today, she attributed the Centre’s negligence to the apathy of Union Ministers and MPs from the State.

The minister said she had been sending proposals to their respective MPs and all the Union Ministers from the State so as to enable them to discuss the proposals with Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Kamal Nath, but none of them were responding.

“With the failure of the ministers and MPs from the State, the department is facing sever fund crunch,” the minister observed.

She informed that she had spoken to Kamal Nath over phone who in turn assured her that he would be visiting Hyderabad soon to look into sanction of funds on various projects.
