Hyderabad: Telangana High Court issued notice to CM of TS, Mr. KCR for furnishing wrong information in the affidavit filed in connection with Gajwel Assembly elections.
A person by name Srinivas, resident of Gajwel filed a petition that 64 cases have been registered against Mr. KCR but in his earlier affidavit he mentioned only 4 of them.
The petitioner contended that Mr. KCR should be declared disqualified from the Assembly membership on account of furnishing wrong information in the affidavit.
Telangana High Court admitted the petition for hearing and issued notices to Mr. KCR and Returning Officer of the constituency with instructions to file counter affidavits within four weeks. The hearing of the case was also adjourned for four weeks.
