Ingredients
Carrot- 1 kg
Milk-1/2 lts
Sugar- As per taste
Khoya/ Mawa- 300gms, roughly crumbled
Pure Ghee-50gm
Water- ¼ Cup
Ghee- 3 Tbsp
Green Cardamom Pods- 4-5, crushed
Raisins- ¼ Cup
Almonds- ¼ Cup, blanched and sliced
Cashew- ¼ Cup
Preparation
- Wash, peel and grate carrots.
- Take a heavy bottom pan and heat ghee. Transfer grated carrots and whole milk into the pan. Keeping flame on low, continuous stir it so that it would not get stick at the bottom.
- When the carrots are done properly and mix well with milk, add sugar and keep stirring the mixture.
- Add cardamom powder and crumbled mawa.
- Garnish the halwa with chopped dry fruits.
- Delicious & yummy halwa ready to serve!
