Gadkari skips questions on Yeddyurappa

BJP president Nitin Gadkari Monday refused to take questions from the media related to former Karnataka chief minister B.S. Yeddyurappa’s claim that incumbent Chief Minister Sadanand Gowda was only a “temporary” arrangement.

Gadkari said he will address media queries on the subject only when he is in Bangalore.

“Ask me some questions on Goa. I will answer this when I am in Bangalore,” Gadkari said.

Yeddyurappa, the Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) first chief minister in south India, has raised a flag of rebellion, demanding he be restored to the chief minister’s chair.

When asked if the Karnataka fiasco was giving him sleepless nights, Gadkari shot back: “I don’t have a headache. I do not carry Saridon or Anacin (both prescribed temporary stress-relief medications). I sleep even in a helicopter.”
