Dhar (MP), June 23: Bhartiya Janshakti Party today accused BJP President Nitin Gadkari for his party’s “poor performance” in the recent civic elections in Maharashtra and charged that he failed to fullfill the assurances made when he was appointed party chief.
“During Gadkari’s regime, the BJP’s performance in the Nagpur MLC polls and also in Mumbai, Aurangabad and Nagpur civic elections was not encouraging. When he was unable to deliver in his own home state, it would be unfair to expect that party under his leadership would excel in the country,” Working President Sanghpriya Gautam told PTI.
He also criticised BJP for highlighting Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi instead of Gadkari in posters in Bihar.
It has lowered the prestige of the party president, he said.
