Former Minister Gade Venkat Reddy feared that the prospects of development of Andhra Pradesh would be vanished if separate Telangana State is formed.
Talking to media persons in the Assembly premises here on Sunday, Venkat Reddy said that Andhra Pardesh would be literally divide into three parts if centre gave its nod to formation of separate Telangana state. He pointed out that people of Rayalasema were against living jointly with people of Andhra region after the formation of Telangana state. Therefore, the Rayalaseema leaders are demanding statehood for their region, if the central government decides to bifurcate Andhra Pradesh. Thus, Andhra Pradesh would literally divide into three parts, he said.
As of now, he said that both the people of Andhra and Rayalaseema regions were against the bifurcation of the State and believe that the development of the State was possible only if Andhra Pradesh remains united.
Venkat Reddy pointed out towards the apprehensions raised in the Sri Krishna Committee report that the State would be dealt with many uncertainties if the separate Telangana State gets formed. He opined that if one wants to witness the development of Andhra Pradesh in future then it was necessary to keep all the three regions united.
