Gaddar resigns as President

Balladeer Gaddar has announced that he was resigning as president of the Telangana Praja Front as he was convinced that the ‘T’ state could not be achieved through elections. He said that he would actively participate in people’s movements for Telangana. He said that he would launch his movement from Sompet of Srikakulam district.

Speaking to the media here on Friday, Gaddar said he would later on launch a movement for the protection of Anantapur and Bayyaram mines. He said though he was quitting the Telangana Praja Front, he would still participate in the fights organized by it.

Stating that there was need for guiding the people into a direct movement for achieving Telangana, he said that he was undertaking the movement to protect mines as part of this greater movement. Stating that he needed the support of people’s organizations and the Left parties for his movement, Gaddar said he had already talked to the CPI State secretary Dr Narayana about the proposed movement.
