Gaddar proposes parallel JAC

Sangareddy, March 24: Balladeer Gaddar proposes to float a Joint Action Committee (JAC) with the cooperation of all people’s organisations involved in the agitation for separate Telangana. This will not be connected to any political party.

Speaking to the media after participating in ‘Telangana Lolli’ programme arranged by the District Photographers and Videographers Association held at the district headquarters on Wednesday, Mr. Gaddar said it was the responsibility of the people to fight for the separate State as all the political parties failed to achieve the goal.

Stressing the need for bringing all organisations under one umbrella, he also said the idea was already shared with political JAC chairman M. Kodandaram.

“The Telangana issue is being exploited politically and every one is trying to benefit out of it instead of sincerely fighting for the cause. The cross-voting in the recently held Council elections is an indication to that,” he remarked without mentioning the Telangana Rashtra Samiti (TRS).

Dig at KCR

Alleging that Telangana Rashtra Samiti president K. Chandrasekhar Rao was also responsible for the cross-voting that took place in the party, Mr. Gaddar called upon people to teach a lesson to those who cheated the people of Telangana.

“The government will collapse at both the State and the Centre if they try to play with the sentiments of the people of the region. We want self rule instead of being ruled by someone else. We asking the government to withdraw cases registered against people who participated in the Million March,” he said.

Association president K. Jagan, secretary Satyanarayana, Joint Action Committee convener Ashok Kumar and others also participated in the ‘Telangana Lolli’ programme.
